I don’t even know where to begin with the baby of our bunch. I think I’ll start by sharing how he wanted to spend his special day.
A few weeks ago we began asking “hey Bowie, what do you want to do for your birthday?” And these were his responses…
“Cuppy (his nickname for his 19 year old sister which he shortened from previously calling her Cupcake before he was even 2) can we go to Grandpa’s lake?!”
“And can we spend the day looking at all the beautiful flowers at the greenhouse?”
“Oh and Walmart – I sure do miss Walmart. And the sky scrapers too. Our new town doesn’t have any sky scrapers and that’s sad for me.”
Bowen has had the toughest time adjusting to our new small town life. He has a love for the city that I honestly can’t quite grasp. Yet he is equally in his element in nature, playing in the mud, thriving in the woods.
Early on, Bo developed a fascination with space and a passion for the moon. His knowledge of the solar system surpasses mine by leaps and bounds. This spring he discovered a new infatuation – flowers! I have never seen anyone get so excited over flowers except perhaps his great grandma ☺️ He could spend all day walking around greenhouses, simply basking in all the beauty.
Bowen is also a marvellous story teller. He tells us tales everyday about his imaginary husband Dan and their 2 kids and the exciting life that they lead! Bo also has plans to grow babies in his tummy and refuses to be told that this isn’t possible.
Bo is the roughest, toughest, sweetest, most thoughtful four year old who’s stubbornness equals the rest of his siblings but his compassion and empathy for others supersedes anyone else I know.
I’m excited to see what the future holds for my baby who has the mind of an engineer but the personality of a class clown 🤨
Happy birthday Bo! Love your mama, Jadie & Town Madie, Cuppy, Mads & Beck ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
